Headhunter Spearfishing collaborated with Cameron Kirkconnell to develop this special reel line. We needed a line that would be excellent for spearguns, but would also work with Hawaiian Sling and Polespear applications as well.
When using a line on a speargun, you have the benefit of a line release to keep your shooting line organized. But with a polespear or sling, the line is free floating. After trying dozens of different materials and braids over the course of a year, we decided that there are two main attributes that make a line better for using with a polespear or sling: Stiffness and Abrasion Resistance.
So we had a weaver make us the stiffest Spectra line they could. This gave us a line that was easily managed underwater, even in the heat of battle with a fish. Spectra's outstanding abrasion resistance means that this line will hold up for a long time. Rocks, reef, and fish teeth are not a problem. And with a 600 pound tensile strength, you have more than enough power to subdue large prey.
We call it STIFFY STRING. Whether you are using a polespear, hawaiian sling, or a speargun, this reel line with outperform any line you have tried in the past.
